COMPUGARD 3-YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY GENERAL EXCLUSIONS

We shall not be liable under this warranty for:

Loss or damage caused by fire, explosion, direct lightening, power surge and the like, storm, tempest, flood water, damage, rainwater, earthquake, accident, impact, aircraft, burglary, theft or attempts thereat, malicious damage.

Loss of use of your equipment or other consequential loss, damage or consequential liability of any description.

Damage or liability arising out of a willful act or your willful negligence.

Damage caused by the fair wear and tear, accidental and malicious damage or misuse, or attachment of unauthorised additional components is excluded from the warranty.

Gradual deterioration, including rust, corrosion, or other ongoing effects caused by environmental conditions.

Loss or damage caused by interference by another party and carried out remotely by electronic means.

Software and/or data is not covered by the warranty. Neither The Atlas Club, CompuGard its underwriters nor its authorised Repairers is responsible for loss of data, no matter what the cause.

No warranty is made in relation to software or data. In particular, no warranty is made in relation to virus related problems, software compatibility issues, software bugs and faults rectification of these faults will be chargeable to you

No warranty is made in relation to the suitability of the hardware or software in respect of use of the computer in any respect.

DEFINITIONS

Software means - the collection of programs, which cause a computer or controller to perform a desired operation or series of operations

Defined Peril means - fire, lightning, explosion, aircraft or other aerial devices, or articles, dropped therefrom, riot, civil commotion, strikers, locked-out workers, persons taking part in labour disturbances, malicious persons, earthquake, storm, flood, escape of water from any tank apparatus or pipe and impact by any road vehicle or animal.

This endorsement is subject otherwise to the terms and provisions of the Policy to which it is attached.

IMPORTANT WARRANTY NOTICE

What to do if your computer fails:

In the first year after purchase the manufacturer/supplier is responsible for the warranty. Please call your dealer and return the PC architecture to them or call the Atlas Service Centre and we will put you in contact with the manufacturer (OEM).

In the second and Third years after purchase, if your computer fails call the Atlas Service Centre on 02 9311 7670. Please have your name and policy number ready.

Our technicians will endeavour to establish the possible problem and direct you to the nearest Authorised Atlas Service Centre within 24 hours. You must have an authorisation to repair
number before work can proceed.

In some country areas where the expertise to remedy the problem may not be available we will arrange for you to deliver the PC to the nearest depot and then pay for transport back to our nearest repair station.

If At Any Time The Atlas Club Inc through CompuGard informs You That this Warranty Does Not Apply To You, You Should Contact The Manufacturer Or Supplier of your computer
